My German Shepherd ate aloe vera and is vomiting. Is it toxic?

My 9 month German shepherd tore up my aloe Vera plant 2 nights ago. This morning she started vomiting. No diahrea. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 9 months and 26 days old | 55 lbs

Clinical signs that can be observed with aloe vera ingestion include vomiting, diarrhea, depression, anorexia and in some cases tremors. There could also be vomiting secondary to a gastrointestinal obstruction. Because there is already vomiting present, I would recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for an obstruction and prescribe anti-nausea medications. In the meantime, feed Ellie a bland diet mostly composed of chicken breast and white rice. Good luck!
