My female cat is in heat. Where can I find a male cat for breeding?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 7 lbs

I have a domestic orange female tabby cat that I am interested in breeding. She is a little over two years old and she goes into heat now. How would I find a cat to breed her with? What kind of cat and where would I find it?

Cat fancy is the standards for cat breeds. They generally have a list on their website about breeding and kittens available. These are pure bred cats so it may be hard to find someone willing to breed if not a pure breed. These pure bred males can be expensive also. If your is not a purebred than you can find whatever mix or breed you choose. It is hard to find any due to the over population problem and most being already altered.
