My cat has FIC. What else can I do to comfort him during an episode?

My cat has feline idiopathic cystitis and having an episode. Vet gave rx for muscle relaxer and anti inflammatory . anything else i can do to comfort him? He is really havin a hard time. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 5 years and 3 months old | 15 lbs
