My cats fight. What Feliway or calming alternatives can I use?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

I have 3 cats & two of them do not get along. 3 days ago i bought two feliway multicat diffusers & have both of them in the living room where they are most. My cat Batman scares his mom everytime she uses the box & i don't have alot of space to get more litter boxes & if i did i doubt they would get along even then. I've considered moving 1 of the diffusers in the kitchen near 1 of the boxes but i dont have an extra outlet... is there another Feliway Multicat product i can use or alternative?

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would recommend using the Feliway spray as well and spray the areas where the cats are the most and where they sleep. You can also use a product called NaturVet Quiet Moments calm treats plus melatonin for cats and see if this helps. If you are not having any success and they are still aggressive towards one another, I would recommend discussing this further with your veterinarian as anti-anxiety medications may be the next step. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

You could try Feliway spray or diffuser and see if that helps. Otherwise, your vet could possibly prescribe an anti-anxiety medication, like Prozac or Trazodone. http://www.feliway.com/us/#redirected
