Why is my dog restless, getting up and down, and can't lie down?

hi There, My English Staffy seems to be in distress and cannot lie down for long gets up and then tries to lie down again. not his usual behavior - seeking some advice. Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 2 years and 4 months old

IT sounds like Sammy is probably in pain or severe discomfort, it could be from an internal condition such as a gastrointestinal problem and it could also be due to an orthopedic condition. if it doesn't seem to resolve in the next few hours i would recommend taking Sammy to your vet in order to get it checked and treated, right now the symptoms are too general to determine what it could be.
