Pet's info: Dog | Akita | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 30 days old
Good morning, I have got Japanese Akita Inu red/white coat at age of 5 month , he weights 23 kg and is very thick boned puppy. All health issues are in norms but we have problem with ears. At his age they are not erect at all , but whenever he gets active or starts chewing bones or his toys ears slightly go up and at this age he is still teething. Wanted to ask how long it will take his ears to go fully up and if there are some extra supplements that I should give him for helping a bit.

No extra supplement has been proven to help unfortunately with ears. It can be completely normal that ears are not erect at this stage but unfortunately they can take up to one year of age to fully grow as a normal purebreed Akita. (just a matter of being patient). Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.
