Why is my dog bobbing his head, running, and peeing uncontrollably?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 9 years and 9 months old | 30 lbs

His happens occasionally but has happened 3 times today. It starts off with him sitting and his head begins to bob and sway side to side then out of no where he begins to run around non stop throughout the house and has an uncontrollable leaking of urine. Just want to know what could possibly be wrong with him.

Those are certainly odd behaviors for a dog! I would recommend that Nippy be checked out by a vet. These symptoms could be caused by a wide range of things, include neurologic disease, kidney disease, anxiety, or pain. The vet will do a thorough physical and neurologic exam and review his medical history. Then they can recommend appropriate diagnostics or treatments that will hopefully get Nippy back to normal.
