Pet's info: Dog | Collie smooth-coated | Male | neutered | 3 years and 1 month old | 180 lbs
Our boarding dropped off our dog last Monday - vs this coming Monday when we were out of town. He has been in our backyard for almost 6 days w/o food - but access to water. He seems fine now..eating, playing, etc. Should I just take him to vet tomorrow?

Oh my, poor Captain! I'm glad to hear that he seems to be acting normally despite being outside without food or supervision for 6 days. He is likely just fine, however, since we don't know what occurred in those 6 days, it would be best to take him to the vet for a physical exam. The vet will be able to assess his body condition, check for signs of internal or external parasites (take a stool sample with you!), and determine if he has any climate-related problems from either excessive cold or heat depending upon your location. Again, it is most likely that he is just fine, but better to be safe than sorry! I hope that all goes well!
