Why did my dog suddenly run, fall, get stressed, then recover?

My dog is an 11 year old greek domesticated dog (Kokoni). She doesn't have any health problems so far other than some yellow teeth. Tonight as she was laying behind me (not sleeping) she stood up and started running like crazy and kept falling down. She did that a few times before I caught her and calmed her down. she was stressed, her heart was beating fast. as if something had bit her and then was suddenly paralyzed because she fell down on her face. now she's her usual self

It sounds like this may have been an allergic reaction or anxiety problem. Allergic reactions can cause stinging and burning and then can cause acute collapse from shock. It sounds like it may have been from a bite since there were no other factors around. Since she is back to normal now, I would just watch her for the next 24 hours to make sure there is no swelling noted
