Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | 6 years and 4 months old | 74 lbs

My male has nighttime secretions leaving large clear wet stains with slight acid odor. It is not urine. It used to happen 2-3 a year now has had daily occurrence and is showing extreme thirst and increased urination.

If Bosco is having increased thirst and urination, then I would start with having your veterinarian check some blood work and urine to see if they can figure out that is causing the increased thirst and urination. That may help you figure out the current mystery. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
