Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 6 years and 2 months old | 80 lbs

My dog was having pain in his left leg(back) so we took him to the vet. the vet had given a painkiller and a medicine to reduce shedding of hair. but after only one doze he had started vomiting and there are some traces of blood in his vomiting. What is the reason ? can you tell? and should we change the vet???? please reply fast its urgent.. we are very worried

I it may be a reaction to the medication or there could have been something else alreadybtherr that just didn’t show it self yet such as an infection. If you are displeased with your vet then you can seek a second opinion but i would give the vet a call or schedule a recheck to see if they want to change medications or do blood work to address the vomiting now. Since there is blood in the vomit I would recommend getting him rechecked to make sure it does not continue and he doesn’t get dehydrated from it
