My dog is jealous and barks at my husband. What can I do?

We adopted a Papillon dog about 4 years ago and he seems to hate my husband. He will not let him near me without barking and then running under bed. We are the best pet parents. No abuse in home. My dog Munchie just is so jealous. Why? Pet's info: Dog | Papillon | Male | neutered | 8 years and 1 month old | 9 lbs

It is possible that Mumchie was mistreated or possibly just very poorly socialized with men prior to coming to live with you. It sounds like he is very bonded with you. I would encourage your husband to do all of the feeding, as well as walks and any treats he receives should come from him. I think he would also benefit from a consultation with a veterinary behaviorist. I would encourage you to reach out to your veterinarian for a recommendation.
