My 11-month Golden Lab mix puppy is losing weight. Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 10 months and 27 days old | 50 lbs

I have a almost 11 month golden retriever lab mix. He weighs 46 pounds and is losing weight. He weighed 50 at the beginning of the month. Does anyone know why he's losing weight? Is he underweight?

This is a quite generic sign, but considering the fact that his weight is still in normal range for a small golden lab x, and the weight loss is less than 10%, I would not be extremely worried at this stage, especially if there are no other possible signs.
