My cat hit his head, now drooling and shaking. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 9 months and 20 days old | 10 lbs

My cat hit his head on the door and since he's been shaking his head like something is in his mouth. He started drooling an awful lot. I had a diffuser on for a little bit. It had lemongrass(which I read was safe for cats) in it. In case that'd have something to do with it.

I would be more concerned that Loki's symptoms are from hitting his head. Head trauma can be very serious in cats, and in this case, the best thing to do is have him seen by a vet immediately. He needs to be evaluated to see if he does have head trauma, and he may need to be treated for it. Please take him into a vet now.
