What can I do to help my cat gain weight and strength after a fever?

recently i've taken my year old cat to the vet and it turned out the reason to his lethargy, sluggish movements, and loss of appetite was a fever, of 105.8 when we brought him in. he's gotten a shot and is already doing better and is almost completely back to normal. appetite is slowly coming back but he's lost a little weight while he was sick, and i was wondering there is anything i should/can do to help him gain a little weight or just help him become healthier in general to gain strength? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 8 months and 23 days old | 13 lbs

I’m sorry to hear about Link but so glad he’s feeling better! For these guys I love to do a probiotic like Purina Fortiflora. This helps reset the gut and make it more efficient. You can also add a lysine supplement ( ) to help fight and prevent feline herpes virus which can come on after an illness like this.
