Based on the picture I am Concerned that this may actually be bruising (however pictures do have their limitations). If this is bruising and there is no known trauma then I would be very concerned about a bleeding disorder or exposure to rodenticide which can be life threatening. If this is a rash then she is probably pretty uncomfortable and she would likely benefit from medication to decrease his itchiness. Either way I would highly encourage you to have him evaluated by a veterinarian immediately. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.

This looks little normal anatomy but like it is bruised. He likely bites on it causing it to be bruised. I would watch it closely to ensure it doesn’t get bigger. If it stays red and bruised looking, I would ha e your vet look at it to ensure it isn’t infected. I hope This helps!

That is quite odd looking. Yes, you should be concerned. If it isn't bothering him (it doesn't seem itchy or painful ) and he doesn't have any symptoms of illness (he's not lethargic, no vomiting or diarrhea, no coughing or sneezing, normal activity and appetite etc) then it is not an emergency, but do take him in to your vet in the next few days if you can. It may be an infection of some kind, or it could be a skin tumor of some sort. (which may be a benign tumor). Once your vet examines Red in person, he or she will be able to advise you of the best steps moving forward, both in terms of diagnostic steps and treatment.
