My cat fought a stray. Are his fight wounds bacterial or fungal?

Good day! Is it true that most cat fight wounds are Bacterial infections rather than a fungal infection? My cat has gotten some minor wounds on his head after a fight with a stray cat, and I've been using Elica-M for a fungal infection as my vet recommended, he didn't do any tests, he just examined him. Felix is my first cat, so I'm worried about everything. Thank you for your time patience!

You are correct that most cat bites create a bacterial infection. Cat bites can be pretty bad so it is always recommended to have them treated and treated quickly. I also recommend a rabies vaccination especially if he got bit by another cat. If he can lick or scratch at the areas an elizabethan collar would be beneficial so he doesn't make the wounds worse. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
