Why is my 12-year-old Labrador making a coughing choking sound?

My 12 yr old Labrador is making a coughing choking sound. He is in good health and fully vaccinated. He hasn't been in a kennel in over 2 years but always had his kennel cough up to date. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 12 years and 8 months old

I highly recommend having a veterinarian take a look at Charlie. Coughing in dogs can be respiratory or heart-related. Your veterinarian can listen to Charlie and x-ray him to see if they can pinpoint which one it is and after that, they can determine treatment or if more diagnostics are needed.
