This is a great question! Depending on where the infection in question is, yes, you can differentiate between a fungal and bacterial infection. Sometimes you can tell based on the type of infection present, what the lesions look like and/or where the lesions/infection is located. It is important to differentiate between types of infections because treatment depends on the specific type of infection. I hope this answers your question.
