We brought our veiled chameleon Rontti home yesterday, she’s been very active and has been eating well too. Today we saw her poop for the first time, but she had swallowed a stray strand of my hair and now the poop is dangling from her butt. Would it be safe to just pull the hair out so the poop won’t bother her anymore (although she doesn’t seem very bothered by it!), or should we wait for it to come out naturally? Thanks!

Do not pull it. If it is looped or otherwise stuck in her intestine, pulling may cause grave injuries. Soak her in warm water for 15-20 minutes. Gently massage her abdomen, from front to back, during the soak to stimulate defecation. If she doesn't pass it, have her seen by your veterinarian or an experienced herp vet.
