My cat's eyes are sunken from a scratch. Should I take him to the vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 10 lbs

About 5 weeks ago, our indoor/outdoor cat came home with a scratch above his right eye and he was sneezing. I used a vaporizer and the sneezing and drainage stopped. Because the eye was completely closed and there was a little drainage, I got eye pads and eye drops from a pet store to use. The cat was making a lot of improvement until now. The affected eye opened half way and his vision seemed OK. Now both eyes appear sunken in. He eats well, drinks water, and uses his box, and still purrs.

The eyes may appear sunken in either because Sly is dehydrated or the tissue around the eyes is swollen. Both conditions can point to more serious problems such as infection or abscess caused by a scrape from another cat, which would need to be treated with antibiotics or, in case of an abscess, opened and drained, Please take Sly to a vet for an exam. You did all you could.
