My cat licked ointment for his fungal infection. Will he get sick?

Good day! My cat is in the beginning stages of a fungus infection, and my vet prescribed an ointment for him to put on his head where he's infected. But after I put it on him he started licking his hand and cleaning his head. Will he get sick? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 4 months old
