My cats ate sausage with onion. Is dehydrated onion toxic to cats?

Hello, I just gave both of my cats a little liver sausage from a sandwich I have made. I decided to check the ingredients after wards and noticed that one of them is dehydrated onion. They each ate a piece of meat about the size of a quarter. Should I be worried? Thank you!

I definitely wouldn't give them anymore of the sausage, and I would monitor them for now. Dehydrated onion is more concentrated that fresh onion, so less of it could cause toxic signs. Toxicity symptoms include lethargy, weakness, ataxia, pale gums, red or discolored urine, vomiting, diarrhea, and excessive drooling. Should you see any of those signs, I would take them both into the vet right away. It can take up to a couple of days for signs to show, so I would monitor them for 72 hours.
