Gassy dog: Should I feed chicken and rice or kibble? Is exercise good?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Just want to say thank you and have one more quick question about Monty... he literally has been on only his kibble (don't think he got into anything outside he's not my hunter dog...my other one is though) since I discovered the gassy issue.. ..do you think ground beef or chicken and rice may benefit him for a few days, or keep him on his kibble? Is lots of exercise benefitical to him at this point?

You are welcome! I think it would be a great idea to try some chicken and rice for a few days to see if that helps with the gas. Give him boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice for a few days, then slowly add back in his normal diet. Exercise would be good as well. Hope this helps :-)
