My senior dog is chuffing/snorting. Could it be pneumonia or sinus?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 19 years and 10 months old | 45 lbs

my 19 year old is making odd chuffing/snorting sounds when she exhales, i think she may have pneumonia or a sever sinus infection. what can i do to help her?

Poor Kyla! If you think she may have a sinus infection or pneumonia, she really needs to see a vet right away, as these problems will require prescription antibiotics to treat. I would recommend taking her in for an exam as soon as possible. If you aren't able to take her tonight, you can try bringing her into the bathroom with you while you take a hot shower - the steam and humidity often help to break up nasal congestion and temporarily relieve symptoms. This may make her a bit more comfortable until you are able to see the vet.
