Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 13.23 lbs
Hi I have a 12 wk old staffy cross pup who recently stayed the night with a friend of mine who had a 6 week old pup that died of pavo the night my dog stayed there. She pooed blood on her bed which we washed but then ended up chucking. Just wondering what your advice for her from here would be? She's currently happy and normal. She had her 2nd vac on the 12th of dec. Thank you.

I'm sorry you had to experience this. The incubation period for parvovirus is 7-10 days. This means that, if she has it, this is when her symptoms will develop. There is not much you can do at this point since she may have already been exposed to the virus. There are some studies about preventative measures to stop the replication of the virus, but they are very controversial and you should talk to your veterinarian about these tactics. The most important thing is to monitor her behavior, appetite, and bowel movements. If you notice any change, have her evaluated immediately. I really hope she doesn't have it. Best wishes to you and little Kush.
