My dog has white worms in stool. Will antibiotics get rid of them?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 50 lbs

I noticed a white worm like substance in my dogs stool. She is on antibiotics and antiinflamatories for an infection on her paw. Will the antibiotics take care of the long skinny white worm like substance problem???

No, antibiotics will not kill the worms. It is likely Leia has roundworms, and that requires a deworming treatment. You can get a deworming treatment over the counter, and I'd recommend using Panacur.
