My cat's eye is cloudy. Can I reuse old eye drops to save a vet visit?

So a month or two ago my cat (about 8 months old now) had one of her eyes start clouding up, and my vet perscribed eye drops that cleared it up in about a week. Now her other eye is starting to do the same thing, just not as bad. I was just wondering if i can use some of the left over eye drops to try and clear it up without paying for another vet visit.
