Why are my Pom puppy's eyes watery and staining after a new pup?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 21 days old | 5.95 lbs

I have a 6 month pomeranian puppy who suddenly seems to have water collecting below his eyes leaving a stain in his fur.He never really suffered it until recently when I got a 8 week old Pom puppy who has a little bit of damp around her eyes. She wasn't vaccinated when we got her but he is fully vaccinated but his seems to have appeared since we got the younger pup so wondering if maybe he has caught something from her?

It's possible and it has nothing to do with the vaccinations either (eye infections are not among the things your dog is vaccinated for), he probably caught a common eye infection, just take him to the vet to get it checked as he will need prescription eye drops to get better.
