Great question! You can use a slicker hair brush to remove excess hair and to keep shedding to a minimum. I would also recommend getting a medium bristle brush. You can get these brushes in a pet store or online.

    For a short-haired dog like an Amstaff, a good quality bristle brush works very well - Chris Christensen is a great brand, but there are lots of other options too. You could also use a soft, flexible slicker brush if needed - just make sure the ends aren't too pointy, since he doesn't have much hair to cushion the brush from his skin.
