Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 18 lbs
My cat is 23 years old and has a huge cyst (size of a golf ball) on top of a rear foot. Would it be dangerous to sedate him to have it removed at that age? It doesn't seem to bother him but it looks like it should. He seems to be in good health except for arthritis type symptoms. Thanks

I would recommend having a geriatric blood panel done first before deciding to sedate Sebastiancat to have the cyst removed. That will give you an idea of the anesthetic risk of sedating him, letting you know if it is dangerous or not to have it removed. You can also have it drained by the vet, but it may return. I would discuss these options with your vet.
