My cat started showing symptoms of pyometra Christmas eve morning (pus discharge) I couldn't get in touch with the vet because of holidays tomorrow I will make an appointment for her to be spayed how many days would be too long to go with her showing symptoms she may not be able to get in this week she is not acting sick otherwise she is still the same just has discharge and I can feel the hardness of the swelling on her sides

Cats diagnosed in the early stage of infection do much better than an obviously ill cat. Surgery would be strongly recommended within the next 24 hours. If possible, have Valentine examined at the nearest veterinary ER to confirm your suspicion. The decision to perform surgery and when can be made after the diagnosis.
