My kitten vomited live worms and has a potbelly. Is it roundworms?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed

Our kitten threw up twice this afternoon, and the second time live worms came up. She had tapeworms before, but she was treated. I researched a little, and I believe she might have roundworms. However, I am no expert. We plan to take her to a vet clinic tomorrow. I have observed a potbelly developing very recently, and her feces has been smelling even more awful in the past week or so. She has also taken to meowing plaintively. I hope this is enough information. Thank you.

Yes, this is plenty of information :-) She definitely has worms based on your description, but without having a more complete description of the worms, I can't say what kind of worms Marbles has this time. It is a good idea to take her to the vet clinic tomorrow, and I would bring a sample of these worms with you for the vet to examine and diagnose.
