Why is my senior dog limping, screaming, and struggling with steps?

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | 17 years old | 75 lbs

I have a 7 year old pitbull she is a very sweet and loving dog... however the problem is she vannot walk up one simple step without screaming. Her back right hip... she is always limping and sometimes just starts freaking out... this has been going on for about a year now.. i thought it would just go away... anyways i love my dog soo much but i am a poor person.. cannot afford vets.. any advice?

Unfortunately a vet visit is a must as she will probably need anti inflammatories long term and dogs cannot take human pain killers, if money is an issue please contact a dog charity in your area of living, they should be able to help.
