My active dog vomits a little in the afternoon. Is that normal?

My 35 gsd is active and eating good. But in afternoon he vomit a little. Is this ok

It can be normal for dogs to vomit occasionally. You should be concerned if your dog continues to vomit and can't stop. You should also watch for other symptoms like diarrhea. If your dog continues to decline, I would suggest a Vet asap. However, if this was a one time thing and your dog seems fine, it could just be that your dog had an upset tummy, or was too active and just vomited. It happens!

Hello. I think it would be a good idea to see your vet. Vomiting, even occasional, is just not normal. Treatment might involve something as simple as modifying his diet, or meal times, adding a small meal just before bedtime, or trying a stomach protectant. It is difficult to tell you exactly the reason of the vomiting episode. What I can tell you is that in puppies the most common reasons for it are related to diet and to gastrointestinal infections/parasite infestations. Chronic vomiting is dangerous because it can lead to dehydration and severe secondary complications in puppies. Make sure your new gsd is regularly vaccinated and dewormed.

Hi! My dog was running around playing yesterday and at the end of playing he was walking kind of wobbly/not straight and kind of almost dragging his legs. Later on that night he threw up and he did again this morning and won’t eat his food. He’s walk
ANy abrupt change in behavior or attitude or sudden symptoms should be checked by your vet. He may have overworked himself and was simply tired, but that still doesn't explain the vomiting. Deep-chested dogs like German Shepherds can have their stomach flip over onto itself when playing, especially after a meal. I would get him to see your vet today to make sure there isn't anything serious going on, and if there is, to get on top of it so it can be treated right away.

over excitement or exercise causes dog to vomit
Yes, this can happen, especially if they just ate Right before hand. But, if it is a continual thing or vomiting is happening when the dog is not so worked up, please see your vet for some diagnostics. Try not to feed the dog right before a stressful event or before a big run. Bloating can be a problem is they eat and run too much, especially if they drink a lot of water.

bruno vomits once in every months. I consulted three doctors and they said he is normal. If he is normal then why he vomits every month once? what should i do? what is the cause? i feed him boiled rice chicken potato and carrot.
It's difficult to say what frequency of vomiting would be considered normal, but I too would not be concerned about a dog that vomits occasionally. It may not be due to any significant underlying disease process. He may have a sensitive stomach, or he may be eating non-food items that occasionally cause some stomach upset. If you feel something else is wrong, or if his appetite is decreased or he has diarrhea you may want to recheck with your vet to see if any testing might be recommended.

Fed my puppy his meal. after which he played a lot, jumping around too much. He puked now. Is this fine? He's two months old and has not puked before
Pets can vomit sometimes. It is very important to watch T for the next 24 hours for any signs of continued illness such as lethargy, continued vomiting, diarrhea or not eating well. If this is seen, have him examined by his veterinarian. If this is related to playing too much or eating too quickly, he should be normal for the rest of the day. As long as he is behaving normally otherwise, you can try withholding all food for 12-24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte during this fasting period. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts. Begin with 1 tablespoon of food every hour and gradually increase the amount if there is no vomiting. Once the vomiting stops for 24 hours, gradually transition to the regular diet If the vomiting persists, see your veterinarian. Other symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian include diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite or abdominal pain.

Is it possible for my dog to vomit simply because he ate too much dinner? He ate his normal dinner and then a few treats. Then at 2 am, proceeded to vomit all of it. He refused water and treats immediately after, but the next morning, he was back to
Vomiting can happen for a multitude of reasons. Eating a new item, overindulgence, or eating something disagreeable in the yard are all possible. If he is back to normal today with good appetite, energy, and no more vomiting I would just continue to monitor him.

My puppy throw up Monday and mow this morning. Should I be concerned? The throw up was only his food and they looked like full pieces still (not sure if that matters)
If Toby has only thrown up 1 maybe 2 times but is still eating,drinking and playing normally I would continue to monitor his behavior . If at anytime he starts vomiting more, acting lethargic, having diarrhea or not eating I would recommend taking him to a vet as soon as possible. It is possible that Toby ate something he should not or even had a mild upset stomach that caused him to get sick. IF he is acting normally but continues to occasionally vomit I would recommend switching his dog food because sometimes vomiting can be secondary to a food allergy. I hope that helps

My dog has been throwing up about once or twice a day for 4 or 5 days. She's active and still eating and going to the bathroom. Advice?
If this is a fairly new problem for her and she is acting normal otherwise, you can try feeding a mixture of plain boiled chicken and white rice instead of her regular dog food for the next 2-3 days. This is a bland, easily digestible diet that often help to settle an upset stomach in dogs. If this doesn't help, I would recommend having her examined by a vet to determine the cause of the vomiting.

My pup sometimes throws up in the mornings or in the middle of the night. He seems in good health with no behavioural or dietary changes. Is this normal?
Vomiting regularly (1 or more times every week) is not normal. Chronic vomiting can have a variety of underlying causes, including allergies to food, parasites, or congenital issues. Very occasional vomiting is more commonly due to stomach upset from eating inappropriate food (table scraps) or foreign material. Since Atlas otherwise seems to be acting and eating normally, consider how often the vomiting occurs. If this is a regular occurrence, consider slowly transitioning him to a new diet with a different protein source and speak with your vet about deworming. It can take 2-3 months to see full effect from the diet change. Take Atlas to his vet if the chronic vomiting continues.
