My Yorkie has fatty, scaly growths on its neck and leg. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | neutered | 8 lbs

We have 3 Yorkies each with 3 growths in the exact same places. 2 on the back of the neck and 1on the hind leg near the back. We have 8 Yorkies in all, only three have these growths or cysts. The ones on the neck appear fattier the others are darker and scaly or scabby.

Any growth needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Them to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growths and send them to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.
