Why is my cat limping on his front paw? Could it be a pulled muscle?

Why is my cat limping? He's acting like his front paw is hurt but when I apply pressure to it he doesn't make a sound like his actual paw hurts. Could he have pulled a muscle jumping? Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered
