I just got a new puppy who is 1 years old. She jumps on my adult dog and he growls and nips at her. How can I help them get along better?

Congrats on your new puppy! It's ok that your adult dog is growling at Bella to stop jumping on him, as it's his way of letting her know what she's doing isn't acceptable. It's not, ok, however that he nips at her. To help them get along better, I would watch his body language. Once you notice he's tensing up, his ears go back, and he shows teeth, I would separate them immediately. Take Bella away, and put her in another room separated by a baby gate. That gives him space from her, and teaches her that there are certain behaviors that are not appropriate. Praise her when you see her act appropriately to the older dog, which will also teach her how to behave around him.
