Dog neck lump growing fast after vaccines. Should I be concerned?

Daisy has a lump on the right aide of her neck and its growing fast, she also just had all her shots so she can be boarded over Christmas break, what could this lump be? Should I be concerned?

Daisy should be checked by a vet to determine the cause of the lump, especially if it is growing quickly. Some dogs can get a small lump after having vaccines but the lump doesn't typically grow large. Your vet can do a fine needle aspirate to determine the cause of the lump and then determine the best way to treat the problem.

    It might just be a localized reaction to the vaccine but if it is getting bigger than you should have your vet take a look at it to make sure it isn't something else. Your vet can aspirate the lump to make sure there isn't an infection and determine if any treatment is needed.

    Poor Candy! She should be fine—�sometimes vaccines can cause a vaccine reaction that looks like a hard lump or swelling. It should get smaller with a few days time, but if not, see your vet for anti-inflammatory medication to help. Good luck!
