Why is a female cat following my unneutered male cat? Pregnant?

I have an outdoor male cat & he's been gone lately for the whole day & returns during the night. Also, a female cat has appeared & she seems to be pregnant or maybe fat. Not very sure. But she's been hanging around my house for a few days & follows my male cat around or just hangs around when he's not home. When they're together they seem to be fine & they don't fight when they're near each other. Is there a reason for her to be following him? Is it because she's ACTUALLY pregnant? Well, it's hard to say without examining her, but if Magic isn't neutered, then he very definitely could have gotten a female cat pregnant. That would certainly explain the behaviors you're seeing. If she'll let you catch her, you should take her into the vet for definitive diagnosis of pregnancy.
