Can my pet see two different vets if I'm not comfortable with one?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Can my pet have two veterinary clinics that she goes to? I'm not comfortable with the staff and I don't feel welcome with the clinic she goes to right now. However, it is the closest one to me. Thanks!

Yes, you can certainly use two different veterinary clinics if you prefer to - I know a number of clients who do this, for similar reasons to what you describe. They may prefer one clinic for illnesses or complicated problems, and use another that is closer to their home or less expensive for vaccines or simple wellness care. The most important thing is to make sure that the staff at both clinics is current on your pet's medical history and any medications she is taking, so that there is no confusion - you can ask to have records faxed to the other clinic after each visit, if needed.
