Why does my 8-month-old cat have intermittent diarrhea and pica?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 7 months old | 5 lbs

Cat is having intermittent diarrhea with no obvious pain or mood changes. Still eats and drinks plenty of water. Cat is 8 months old and does have pica.

If you haven't already, bringing in a stool sample of Loki's to your vet is best. Internal parasites are a common cause for intermittent diarrhea, and may also cause them to exhibit strange behaviors such as pica if they aren't getting enough nutrition due to the parasites. A complete exam is also a good idea to make sure there isn't illness or malnutrition causing the problem as well.
