Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 2 months old
Hi! I have a dog who is a Lhasa Apso and he's 4 years old. He's been vomiting the whole day. The vomits are some type of clear liquid and only once did he vomit containing a bit of blood in it. His back is curved and he mostly likes to sit and lay down. I would like to know why is he presenting these symptoms and how can I solve this. Thank you for the attention.

Poor Lupo! I'm sorry to hear that he's sick. Unfortunately, the symptoms you describe are very concerning - repeated episodes of vomiting like this, especially with blood, are often a sign of a serious problem such as pancreatitis, an intestinal obstruction, a systemic illness like liver or kidney disease, or ingestion of something toxic. A curved back and acting very lethargic are signs of abdominal pain. I'm afraid this is not something that can be treated at home - he really needs to see a vet right away, as this may be a life-threatening problem. The vet can do blood work and x-rays to help determine what is causing the vomiting and get him started on appropriate treatment depending on what is found.

It sounds as Nemesis is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. If the vet thinks it is more serious he will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.
