Should I switch my dog's food every 3 months for health benefits?

Pet's info: Dog | Toy Poodle | Male | unneutered

I heard it's good to switch dog food every 3 months. Is it really helpful for the dogs? Mine is 6months male toy poodle and only ate royal canine. So would you recommend to switch the dog food every 3 months? And how does it help?

No, it is not good to switch a dog's food every three months. Switching food can cause GI upset such as vomiting and diarrhea. It is better to stick with one type of food, and only switch it for a medical reason as recommended by your vet, such as with kidney disease. Royal Canin is an excellent food, I would keep feeing Simba that and not switch his food.
