Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | neutered | 3 years and 4 months old | 90 lbs
Our dog has lost some pigment in the corner of his eye, now it seems to be swollen and a bit hard. He has been to the vet and was treated for mites as a couple were present. But they didn't know what it was.

There are a number of possibilities but hypersensitivity to bacteria in the skin is a common cause of what appears to be hives. Your vet can prescribe antiinflammatory tablets and drops containing antiinflammatories if this is the case. Referral to an opthalmologist and sampling of the area could also be considered.
