Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 3 years and 6 months old
Bruno has been peeing out of nowhere wether its outside or inside. He is potty trained and never had an accident before. But now he's having about 2 to 3 accidents per day. He looks confuse when he does this too. Even on walks he is urinating more when before he would only pee once if that. About 2 weeks ago he got off from a lot of medications he was taking do to a pinched nerve on his neck. Could this be an explanation to his uncontrollably peeing or could it be a sign of something else?

I’m sorry to hear about Bruno! I am concerned that he might have developed a urinary tract infection. There is one medication (prednisone/prednisolone) they can caused increased urination and drinking but those should stop as soon as the medication was stopped. The UTI may be even more likely if he’s recently hurt his back or neck because they tend not to posture/squat all the way or for long enough when it hurts. So they hold their urine longer than they might otherwise do or don’t empty their bladder fully. These can predispose to UTI. Take Bruno (and a urine sample if you can catch one) in to the vet to do a urine test and get on antibiotics if that’s what it turns out to be. The urine test will also screen for other causes of accidents like diabetes and kidney disease. Hope this helps and best of luck to you and Bruno!
