My 9-week-old puppy has bloody diarrhea and mucus. What should I do?

Iv just bought a 9week old American Xl Bully sunday an this after noon not long after he had he tea he had to diarreha but had blood an white wat looked like mucas in it wat could this be

Congrats on your new dog, but I'm sorry that Duke is sick! There are a couple of things this could be causing the bloody diarrhea. My first concern would be parvovirus. This is a highly contagious disease of unvaccinated dogs, and given his age, he will not be fully vaccinated. Parvo is very often deadly, and is considered a medical emergency. It could also be a change in diet, a GI illness, or intestinal parasites causing this bloody diarrhea. Due to the high risk of parvo, you need to take Duke into a vet immediately. The vet can diagnose what is causing the bloody diarrhea and can treat him for it. Good luck, I hope this helps!
