My kitten is in heat. How do I stop my male cat from mating?

My kitten is in heat and we have a male cat as well but he is much taller then her when there trying to mate. How do i help. Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | 3 months and 18 days old | 12 lbs

IF your kitten is less than 4 months old she is not likely to be in heat but even if she is you should definitely not let your male anywhere near her, she should not be bred at her age and size, you must separate them.
