Dog's balding, flaky skin: Is it thyroid? What can I do now?

Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 9 years and 2 months old | 39 lbs

I think my dog is suffering from thyroid problems how can I help her skin it's balding and flaky got vet appointment next week

If it's a thyroid problem, then this will eventually get better once she starts treatment. In the meantime, you can help by giving a bath with a medicated shampoo followed by a conditioner with the active ingredient of phytosphingosine.
