It depends how thick the hair is. Some machines can be placed on the side if the chest as they are laying down do no clamps needed. Lots of alcohol can get thru the hair if not too thick. Some machines with clamps connect to buttons placed on the back of the feet and other clip to the dogs skin in the armpit and flank skin near the waist.
